Day 2 of Workshop with ST Luke Eldercare, ITE West, South West CDC

Just back from day of workshop with St Luke. All the Ah Gong, Ah Mah were all sporting enough to work on Snails. The snails all come in various shapes and sizes. And most come with pretty smiles. There's even a Ah Mah who was good at creating what I see as some sort of fungi flower. She was so intent at creating the 6 sprongs of the fungi that it was a sight to behold. Can't believe that she can still do such dainty work at that age. Nothing is impossible as long as you set your mind to it. I am impressed by her artwork.

Today, there were 38 elders there. And two photographers. The ITE students even gave me certificate of appreciation. And even got a gift from the Elder Centre.

I love this job. Now I understand the PA's ideology of teach because you love teaching. It's tiring but worth every minute and sweat that the ITE students and I put into it. I think in this case, they sweated more than me. :p. Thanks girls. Keep in touch.

Workshop with ST Luke Eldercare, ITE West, South West CDC

Just completed the first set of clay workshop with the senior citizens at St Luke Eldercare (West Coast).

The ITE students and teacher were especially helpful and were able to engage the elders there in creating wonderful artwork using iClay.

It is a good thing that Peoples Association is supporting such activities.

At the end of the day, I feel good. Unfortunately for me. I ended up missing my lunch. Just had some biscuit when I got back to office.
